SIGNAL CONVERTER

Signal Converter SK111

Conversion of a sinusoidal current signal (11 µAss) into a TTL signal

For a long time, 11 µAss signals were the standard for translational and rotational signal transmitters (glass scale, linear encoder, rotary encoder) and are still in use today. The signal converter SK111 converts the 11 µAss signal into a differential TTL signal. Thus, the signal converter SK111 is ideally suited to adapt an existing signal transmitter of an older system to a new evaluation electronics (retrofit).

The signal converter SK111 can be used directly with all image processing systems with integrated encoder evaluation, position displays and USB counters from HEILIG+SCHWAB. Connection to an evaluation electronics of another manufacturer is also possible.

9-pin Sub-D connectors are used as input and output connectors. The assignment is compatible with the signal transmitters of the company Heidenhain. The signal division is set to 20-fold interpolation by default. On request, the signal converter can also be delivered with 40-fold interpolation. When using a signal transmitter with a 20µm grid constant, this results in a TTL resolution of one or half a micrometer (1 µm / 0.5 µm). A separate power supply is not necessary, as the required low power is taken from the signal transmitter's power supply.

For signal transmitters with M23 round connectors, the adapter cable ZP021 is available. Adapter cables are also available for many other signal transmitter designs or can be individually manufactured.
